Bengal / Snowbengal
(Seal-Lynx)
| Head |
Medium to large sized, muscular cat, long and
sturdy body. Legs medium in length, also
muscular and substantial. Paws large and round. Tail medium in length, thick,
with rounded tip. |
| Head |
Massive skull, slightly longer than it is wide,
muzzle full and broad. Profile slightly curved, head contours rounded . Neck
long and strong. |
| Ears |
Small to medium size, slightly tilt forward, with
rounded tips and thumb print. |
| Eyes |
Round and oval; set wide apart and slightly slanted
. All eye colours but blue and aquamarine
are accepted. The eye colour of the Snowbengal (or Seal-lynx) is deep pure blue. |
| Coat |
Short and dense, glossy and silky (like fur). |
| Colour Varieties |
The Bengal shows a distinct, spotted or marbled
pattern. Markings may be seal or brown, extremely contrasting with a golden
orange ground colour. The Snowbengal (or Seal-lynx) is a colourpoint .
The point colours are the same as in the Bengal. The colour on the body is
slightly lighter in shade. But unlike other Siamese patterned cats, there is a
light colour shading and pattern according to
those of the points. The descriptions of patterns are listed in the General
